The continuing eduction department of Queens College is very interested in reaching out to LGBTQ students and making their courses and campus more inclusive. As part of this goal, they approached me about teaching one of my LGBTQ Storytelling courses as a one day seminar this summer!

The seminar will be

$30 registration fee

LA-387 , Section WE21-QC
LGBTQ Storytelling

Everyone has a story to tell, and the telling of these stories is essential to the creation of lasting social change. This workshop is an opportunity for LGBTQ folks to explore the stories of their lives in an affirming enviornment. The workshop is open to everyone from folks who do not consider themselves to be writers, to those expereinced with sharing thier stories through written word.

To register for the seminar:
visit: www.qc.cuny.edu/cep
or call: 718-997-5704

This is the very FIRST TIME that Queens College has offered any LGBTQ specific programming. This is an incredible step on their part, and the course is listed on the front of this summers course listing! If you’ve thought of taking one of my workshops, this is a great opportunity to do so while also supporting fledgling the inclusion of LGBTQ courses at a local college!

Please feel free to pass info about this class along to all your friends!
