Performing Gender(s)

Every day, every person performs a gender.  This interactive workshop explores physicality, attire, verbal, and non-verbal gender cues and guides students in using their own gender histories to experiment with new gender performances.

Performing Gender builds student familiarity with trans-, genderqueer, and gender non-conforming experiences and develops student confidence and self esteem.  This workshop particularly targets LGBTQA students and theatre students, but is engaging and informative for all members of the campus community.
