348 has been selected to participate in the Fall 2010 Works in Progress series at Dixon Place! The show has been growing by leaps and bounds, and I’m thrilled to have this opportunity to really get it on its feet!

If you’ve been watching the show through its development process, you already know what its all about. But in case you haven’t, here’s a short blurb:
Transgender teenage rebel Cael cannot catch a break. Her Hot Topic proclivities land him in a lock-down institution that borrows discipline from Guantanamo and staff from the Church of Latter Day Saints. As Cael realizes why her mother locked him up, she wrestles with retribution, isolation, atonement and the meaning of madness in America.
The show will be on Thursday, November 18th at 9:30 pm. Tickets will be $15 ($12 students/seniors).
You will only have ONE CHANCE to see 348 at Dixon Place this fall, so you should buy your tickets now!

Several years ago, XY(T) had its NYC premiere as part of the FRIGID Festival, by Horse Trade Theatre. Now, the good folks at Horse Trade have invited the show back for another performance, in a mini-festival with some of the other FRIGID favorites!
XY(T) has delighted audiences at festivals and colleges across the USA since 2007. This is your last chance (for several years, at least!) to catch XY(T) in NYC!

Do you have the balls to become a man? Delve into questions, contradictions, and characters exploring: TESTOSTERONE. Transgender butch Kestryl Cael strips layers of gender-self-sex-sanity pursuing his own masculinity. Are you ready to take it all off?
Combining ethnography, autobiography, a syringe, and a massive pink strap-on, XY(T) charts one queer’s quest for a gender that makes sense. Filled with testosterone and transgression, masculinity and mayhem, XY(T) playfully punctures everything you thought you knew about gender.
Date: Saturday, July 3rd, 2010, 6:30pm
Location: Under St. Marks, 94 St. Marks Place (b/w 1st ave and Ave. A)
Tickets: $15 ($12 students/seniors) - available at the door or online: http://www.smarttix.com/show.aspx?showcode=XYT0&pcode=FRIG3

I am excited to announce that I have been invited to perform ‘348′ as part of WOW Cafe Theatre’s 30th Anniversary ‘Pearl’ Festival!
This is the SECOND workshop for this new piece! If you missed it at Collect Pond in February, you have another chance! If you saw the first workshop, you should come again– I’ve been revising like a crazy person ; )
Description and details below:
This isn’t ‘Tranny, Interrupted’.
When Kestryl Cael was 15 years old, his parents told him they were taking him on vacation. The plane landed in Provo, Utah, and Cael landed in a lock-down ‘therapeutic boarding school.’
‘348′ is a searing examination of the troubled teen industry, forced institutionalization, and madness in America. Cael’s misadventures in the psychiatric industry combine with statistics, stories and stigma for revelations on power, pain, and isolation.
You’d be crazy not to come.
——
Date: Thursday, May 13th
Time: 8pm
Location: WOW Cafe Theatre, 59-61 East 4th Street, 4th Floor
Tickets: $10, available at the door or online at fabnyc.org
See you there!
